My 10man was realm first 10man for 5 or 6 months in Ulduar, we have the quality, but nowadays it often seems that all you need to progress in raids is a lot of time spent in the game.

Which is something none of us really have, and we already spend 15+ hours in the game, just to do all the silly preparations. And I’m not talking about raid preparation. Understanding the fight, getting flasks ready, making sure gear is ready, etc.

No, time spent in the game on doing dailies, and LFR, and levelling professions, and doing more dailies…and oh wait, more dailies.

I guess it is a ‘choice’ as Blizzard keeps shouting, but it damn well feels as being punished for having a life outside WoW :(

That’s very much how I felt about WoW raiding towards the end too, even though I was never a heroic progression raider… but the Firelands nerfs were my breaking point too. I also disliked the “only the current tier matters” system introduced mid-Wrath however. I feel that there’s a similar kind of attitude behind that: “So what if we can’t beat all the bosses in this tier? There’ll soon be a new raid for us to go to regardless.”

Mostly I just wanted to comment though to say that I love that random line of guild chat in your screenshot. Anyone who did Stranglethorn in the old days can instantly relate. :P
